Replace the worn or slipping clutch in your high-performance 2001-2004 Mustang with this McLeod street pro clutch kit! Designed with an 11" organic clutch disc, this kit is the perfect option for a smooth and even engagement that requires only a small increase in pedal effort yet has the capability to support 400 horsepower with its high clamp load pressure plate. Featuring the provision for a 10 spline input shaft, this clutch kit includes a new throwout bearing, pilot bearing, and clutch alignment tool to ensure your Mustang is shifting smoothly for years to come!

Break In Period

Break-in period should be 500 miles of city type driving, double the break-in period for highway driving. No aggressive driving. No hole shots or drag launches. Gear changes should be made at 4,000 RPM or less. No speed shifting.

This McLeod clutch kit comes supplied with a pilot bushing, however, if you need a pilot bearing you can purchase one separately. For 1979-1993 Mustang use part number LRS-7600A. For 1996-2022 Mustangs please use LRS-7600B.

Depending on the age, mileage, and application it may be required for the clutch fork and pivot stud to be replaced due to the amount of wear these items see.
Be sure to check and see what kind of transmission type you have before ordering.
Flywheel replacement or resurfacing is recommended before installation.
Ford made changes to the Mustang GT and Bullitt in the middle of 2001.
