QA1 Technology
Patented technology allows the fully greaseable ball joint to be enhanced by self-lubricating components to ensure smooth, low-friction operation. Breakaway torque may be set as low as 0 ft-lbs thanks to unlimited preload adjustment and bind-free operation. The wear-resistant design utilizes precision tolerances, resulting in even load distribution for unsurpassed wear resistance. Long service life and exceptionally smooth operation are achieved by precision ground steel bearing races. When you install lowering springs, you change the height of your ride, which disturbs the steering geometry. Extending the stud by 1/2" inch helps raise the roll center back to its original point on lowered Mustangs, helping handling and body roll.
Technical Information
The extended balljoints have a longer shaft, to raise the spindle relative to the balljoint pivot point. Spacers for the springs may be needed to maintain the same ride height as a stock balljoint but with a much-improved roll center height. With the roll center restored to the proper height, smaller front swaybars and softer springs can be used. The result is a suspension that works for you to accommodate the small and large imperfections that are in any road or track, allowing the tires to stay planted on the ground where they belong.
