1996-2010 Mustang Ram Billet Steel Flywheel This 1996-2010 Ford Mustang, RAM 1540 Billet Steel Flywheel is recommended as a replacement for the factory Cast Flywheel in your high performance or race Mustang. The stock Cast Flywheel is not explosion proof and can be dangerous when used in your high performance Mustang at higher RPMs. This RAM Billet Steel Flywheel is CNC machined from certified materials and exceeds SFI specifications.
Ram's Quality After machining, the Flywheel is balanced ground parallel to the crankshaft mounting surface ensuring minimum runout and the optimum mating surface for the clutch disc. Use a Billet Steel Flywheel in a heavier drag race Mustang or for the best driveability in your street driven Mustang. This 164 tooth, neutral balance RAM Billet Steel Flywheel is a direct replacement for your 1996-2010 Ford Mustang GT with 6 bolt crankshaft and 2001 Bullitt. It will accept either 10.5" or 11" Clutches.

Aluminum flywheels are recommended for the following:
- Road race applications that want instant acceleration out of the corners.
- 4.30 or lower gears that keep your engine in the upper RPM range.
