Pinion Depth Tool
Easily install your aftermarket gears with this pinion depth setting tool from Ratech! Now you can quickly select the proper pinion shim for setting up a new rear gear set in your 1986-2014 Mustang equipped with an 8.8" rear end. Installation Note
Beyond selecting the proper pinion shim, several other specialty tools are required to properly set up a gear set in your Mustang. These include a dial or digital caliper, dial indicator with mag base, and an inch-lb beam type torque wrench. We always recommend the professional installation of your new rear gear set by a qualified shop.
