The original design of the aluminum diff cover was strong enough for the power levels of a stock production Cobra. When people started modifying their Cobras and performing harder launches they started noticing the diff cover was flexing beyond capacity and cracking. This is where Steeda stepped in and designed this Cobra IRS Differential Cover brace to reduce flex, strengthen the cover, and increase performance. Constructed of heavy-duty steel plating, this brace provides 20% more points of attachment yielding greater strength and safety. Installation is straightforward using the supplied hardware, and the cover includes a hole to permit easy access to the differential fill plug without the need to remove the brace.
