2005-14 Ford Mustang SVE Progressive Rate Lowering Springs Silver - S197 by SVE

Today, I received my SVE progressive lowering coil springs 3 days after placing my order with LMR. The first thing I noticed was the package was chambered to to keep the springs from rolling around and damaging each other. I had my mechanic install them on my 2011, Mustang GT convertible in a little over two hours. The new springs dropped the ride height almost an inch and a quarter in the front and about an inch and a half in the back. Over the next week or so, after the springs have settled in, they'll drop down anywhere from another eighth of an inch up to a quarter of an inch. The suspension geometry has altered entirely by lowering the center of gravity. Those ugly 4x4 gaps between the tires and the wheel openings on the fenders and quarters are almost non-existent. The ride is a little bit stiffer as expected, and speed bumps pose no more danger to bottoming out then with stock springs. The pitch in the front end during "spirited" accelerating has been greatly reduced as well as diving during hard braking. My GT drives like it's on rails with almost no body roll in the corners. Its like driving an entirely different automobile (for the better). I required no additional parts for the installation, but you will need to get a four wheel alignment afterwards to ensure your vehicle is pulling to one side or the other and the rear is tracking correctly. I highly recommend these springs to anyone looking to improve their overall handling and appearances without breaking the bank.

Several years ago my older brother lowered his dodge Dakota and to this day I have never ridden in a car that rode as badly. I was hesitant to lower my car because of that but I really wanted to get rid of the wheel gap. After researching and reading reviews I took the plunge and am very happy with the outcome. The car was lowered about 1.25in in the rear and about 1in the front. The ride is excellent. Only slightly stiffer than stock. Plus nose dive and lean in the corners are drastically reduced. Install took about 5 hours in my driveway. I picked up an adjustable panhard bar to correct the rear. The car drives perfect as it is but to play it safe I'll get the alignment checked next week.

The drop on these spings is just what i wanted. Not too low but got rid of the awefull 4x4 wheel gap. Ride is fine too.

I was so worried that installing these springs would roughen the ride of my 2006 GT vert. They do tighten it but not rougher. Cornering is way better, lessens wheel hop dramatically, much different car for the better. Feels like you are driving an electric go cart, its that tight. Cant beat the price, shipped fast, I installed in my driveway no problem. Highly recommend !!

Just installed these on my 14 gt and so far happy with them. Stance is just right and believe these are just eibach pro kits made for LMR.

I purchased these springs after many months of deliberation about which setup I wanted to go with and after reading many different reviews on a number of sites. I decided on the SVE springs due to the height differential they offered as well the reviews about the performance of the writer's cars afterwards.
I could not be happier with the decision I made! These springs gave me just the stance I was looking for with the rear of the car lowering a half inch or so more than the front to give the car an flat even appearance now instead of having her rear in the air. My car is a convertible so from what I have read I got an extra half inch or so all the way around due to the additional weight in a 'vert, but it still does not sit terribly low at all, but rather just lost the huge wheel gap that was there by default. I have 18" rims which also help with the wheel gap and I have no clearance issues at all. I did NOT have to add a panhard bar to keep the rear axle centered, the drop is not so significant that any change in the rear end can be noticed.
The drive of the car is MUCH improved after the springs were installed. There is little to no body roll when cornering now, compared to previously. The ride is no worse either, in my opinion. I read a lot of reviews stating that lowering springs made the ride harsher and less comfortable, but I have to say that this SVE set has not had that effect on my car at all. To me the ride is actually smoother than before, but now I can actually feel the road through the suspension. Some might say that this is harsher, but to me feeling a bump in the road so that you can drive better is not the came as being jarred by a bump in the road. My car now has far fewer jarring moments ( I assume due to the progressive nature of there springs) and yet the ability to feel bumps, pot holes dips, etc. is much better now making driving both better and more fun.

I have had these on the car for about two weeks now, and only had one issue right after the install before adjusting the panhard bar. It rubbed the back driver side tire, but after centering the axle it was fine. Running 19"rims front 20" rims rear 255/40r19 and 275/40r20 rear tires. Was close but fits perfect no rubbing full lock on steering and also no scraping on speed bumps.

Once I received them I had to get them installed. It only took me a couple hours ti do the front and rear springs. Item description was spot on and the new stance of my car is exactly what I was looking for.

Bought them about a week or so ago installed them in my driveway the next day after getting them took about a hour or so.

First off, let's say that I'm glad that LMR has springs that actually fits convertibles! They came in looking great and durable, no scuffs or anything. Had a shop put them on and they look great getting rid of most of the stock wheel gap with 18" rims. The handling? It's very responsive, and noticeable. Used to go onto a certain on ramp at about 40 with large amounts of body roll, now I could hit it at about 50-60mph. Not the mention, the ride quality isn't much different from a c6 corvette with IRS. Great product!

Plain and simple. If you're waiting to see if this is the spring for you...stop waiting!! Nice 1 1/4" drop by just setting the car down off the lift. Been driving on them for a couple weeks now, have gone down another 1/8" or so. Stiffer ride, to be expected naturally. Much stiffer in the corners, but not so rough a ride that it jars your teeth. Definitely can't pull up to curbs in parking spots, but who cares?! Haha. Direct fit on my '13, with no mods. Had a shop do them in less than 2 hours. Go! Buy them now!!

Wanted to lower but not have to deal with plates. Dropped the car as advertised, clears the 285 rears with 1.5" clearance as well. Ride is great for a DD. I feel the bumps but they do not jar me. These are far from stiff if that's your worry. Put the strut mounts back 180 from stock, your struts will be offset away from the engine but this gives you .50 degree neg camber. You do not need a spring compressor to put these in.

Drove it for at 35mile back country break in and
I couldn't be happier with the improved handling
The ride is much firmer but not too harsh !
And the cornering response is perfect

Bought em Sunday, got em Thursday. Quick shipping as usual. The video made the install a breeze....nothing like doing the work yourself. Car looks amazing, and the price was unbelievable!

Just as good as others have described! Great ride, awesome handling and a nice drop in my 13 vert. I installed the Eibach camber bolts at the same time, setting the tabs outward (1 degree out), and the alignment shop left them that way, saying it needed little adjustment.

Unfortunately, the install video for the SVE springs leaves out some key elements.
First:
Be EXTREMELY careful not to drop or knock your front upper strut mounts loose once the strut assembly is off the car. I was not aware it was loosely fitted to the top, and it fell off as I removed the strut assembly. Result: spending an hour trying to find a couple dozen ball bearings spread over a splatter coated shop floor (ugh).
Second:
The install on the rear springs on the convertible is not a simple "drop the rear axle and switch out the springs". The convertible has some pretty heavy duty bracing in the back that does not allow the axle to drop far enough to remove the stock springs. To begin, make sure you do not use any of the bracing as lifting points (as I initially did). I was able to progressively loosen the one piece brace without fully removing, so it dropped down at enough of an angle at the rear to give me a few inches of extra room to pull the springs out. Beware, if you don't have a lift and air tools, you probably won't be able to do this in your driveway easily, if at all. Two brace bolts are very high up into the body, requiring a 12" plus extension, and all bolts are threadlocked from the factory. I used a lift and it wasn't easy due to some of the angles.

That said, I'm VERY happy with the springs! As someone else posted, they are most likely re-packaged Eibachs. Good luck!

I installed the SVE springs, '05-'10 Ford take-off dampers, and GT500 mounts on my '12 V6 about 10 days ago and let them settle in before checking the alignment. The trick with turning the notch on the mounts in towards the engine worked perfectly- the camber was dead center on the rack with only a minor toe adjust needed! Whoever put that in another review- thanks for the tip!! I also saw about 1.5" drop in the back with a solid inch in the front- not too low but it evened out the stance which was one of my reasons for doing this.
The Float, Squat, and Dive are also in the past... this is what the car should've come with new- but then again, it was a blast working on this with my son- and we both learned a thing or 2 in the process. Thanks LMR for the parts, service and the how to videos- that's why I keep coming back!

These springs seem to work fine with the stock struts. I did have to add the Eibach camber bolts up front and the J&M panhard bar in the rear to maintain the alignment. I have also added UPR lowers and adjustable upper in the rear to readjust the pinion angle. Without these rearend modifications the infamous second gear acceleration "clunk" was present. All that said the stance of the car is killer now (see above picture of the "Nuke Stang") and the ride isn't terrible for a lowered car; better than a go-cart, but not the same as stock. The handling is night and day better, especially with the Ford Racing upper strut mount. Overall I am very satisfied with these springs, especially since I knew going in I needed to make the other changes listed above. Hope this review helps! -Shake'n Baker!

After a few days, so far so good. The drop is exactly what i'm looking for. I decided to go with the SVE mainly because of the price, but I had confidence in LMR's warranty, plus the fact that they are made in the USA. I was already running 19" all around, so i haven't experienced that much difference in ride quality. If anything, the front is a little bit stiffer but that's to be expected. The car handles really well, I feel as if its become even a bit easier to what I would call "point and shoot", very easy turn in and predictable throughout the turn. So far this has been just what I was looking for.

I wanted to improve the handling on my 14GT and this was the best choice for me. I paired these springs with...BMR relocation brackets, BMR adjustable panhard bar and the BMR lca's. Install was not hard, just found out that its best to remove the bottom absorber bolt first. It lowered the car a good 1"-1.25" very noticable. I couldnt tell any horrible difference in my ride quality. Feels planted. Great product and great price and as always great shipping speed from LMR.

I didn't know which springs to go with... I did so much research. some told me the SVE were not good... some.said they were.. after hours of.research I bought.them...! And I dont regret it.. amazing look on my car. Feels nice.. rides amazing... if you.need your car to change completely I say go for.this.. they are affordable and amazing lowering springs.!! I recommend this.for any body who.wants to improve their car..!! :-)

my money well spent, I couldn't ask for a better look for my 2008 GT. your product was a perfect fit as well as it lowered my mustang perfectly it's not to low and its not to high, it sits perfectly all the way around, and handles so much better and looks great. First time ordering from LMR, won't be the last. These springs are awesome, body roll is reduced, the wheel gap is much better and the car still rides very nice. The only downside I have to lowering my car, it now sits low enough to scrape my Kooks X-pipe, which scares me. Just be careful!

After months of researching I went with SVe springs and I DONT regret it... my car looks soo amazing now and the ride with this springs is good too. I called to ask some questions and they answered all of them.! Thank you guys im cery happy with this springs..! :-)

after puting in all my products from LMR lowering springs pan hard bar rear shocks SVEbillet rear control arms front struts and strut mounts also camber bolts could not wait to get to the safe place we race next to our airport wow it just all com together not only the handling was unbeleaveable it come out of the hole like crazy an no more spining through 2nd gear huge difference with the SVE rear control arms if your spining tires or wheelhop that will stop it dead very happy all worth it also couldent of done this without the help from the reps from LMR guys are GREAT!!!!!

Bought these for my 2011 gt/cs. They ride great. The car handles so much better. The suspension keeps up with the motor now, which it struggled to do before. The stance of the car is awesome as well. Would recommend to anyone.

Exactly as they said. Eliminated wheel gap. I recommend being extra careful with your strut mounts, they fall apart easy. Car is on 20x9 and 20x10.5 velgen vmb5, 305 35 20 and 255 35 20. SVE springs.

Just bought these last week, got here in 3 days and installed in less than 2 hours with common hand tools. Car looks and rides much better. Traction and fuel mileage have improved as well.

Follow the easy to read instructions and get an alignement then you're good to go. Took about 2 hours with jack stands and an extra set of hands.

This is the way the car should have came. Great product, great customer service. The stance is perfect no bottoming out or rubbing issues.

Is the perfect height & a great ride. You will need to buy caster camber plates to adjust tha camber. It's not terribly but is noticeable.

I installed the springs today and am very happy with the drop in both the front and rear of my 2014 5,0. She sits even now and looks aggressive as hell !!! The ride is a little stiffer than stock and I can feel a little more road bump but all in all the ride is exceptional. Install was a breeze and I appreciate your instructional video, it made all the difference.

These springs give a great ride height and ride quality. I expected them to be a little rough but they are not. obviously being lowered it has a much more aggressive ride but it is comfortable and pleasant.
