The hardware included will work with valve covers with 1/4" or thinner mounting pads. Valve covers that have thicker mounting pads may require longer hardware.
The valve cover spacer hardware included will work with all stock valve covers with short bolt pads. Some 1979-1985 may have thicker bolt mounting pads and require longer hardware.
These spacers will increase your valve cover height roughly 1/2". On EFI Mustangs, raising your valve covers may cause interference between your valve covers and intake manifold, throttle linkage, vacuum hoses, etc. In this case, an intake manifold spacer may be required. Adding intake manifold spacers may cause hood clearance issues.
Even when using this spacer, additional clearance can be needed within the valve cover depending on the rocker that is used.

Increase rocker arm clearance without the guesswork on your 302 or 351 engine with this 1979-1995 Mustang SVE valve cover spacer kit! Aftermarket rocker arms are generally larger in size, which creates clearance issues when reinstalling your valve covers. Most of the time, these new rocker arms will contact the baffle inside the valve cover or hit the valve cover itself once the engine has started. Eliminate these fitment issues entirely with this SVE valve cover spacer kit! This kit will raise your valve covers a 1/2" inch to provide the ample space needed to clear aftermarket roller rocker arms! SVE includes new gaskets and hardware to ease the installation!
