Replace the deteriorated or failing fuel cell in your SVT Mustang with this 2000 Cobra R Fuel Tank Conversion Kit! In 2000, Ford released 300 factory race cars identified as the SVT Cobra R. Each of these limited production cars was equipped with unique Fuelsafe fuel cell factory equipment. Twenty years later, these tanks have started to fail due to crumpling foam inside the tank, cracking welds, or corrosion. This kit allows you to convert to a factory-style fuel tank but keep the looks of a factory fuel cell thanks to our aluminum tank cover! SVE compiled the highest quality components to restore your fuel tank and the vital components it needs to get your 2000 Cobra R running again! This kit consists of a new SVE 2000 Cobra R style tank cover, fuel tank, pads, BBK 300lph fuel pump assembly, vapor valve, vapor valve seals, and filler neck grommet to restore your fuel tank completely!

SVE 2000 Cobra R Style Fuel Tank Cover Kit
SVE has created this aluminum cover to replicate the factory tank's look without the hassle of going to a complete fuel cell. SVE went above and beyond in designing this tank cover, made from heavy gauge aluminum that is fully tig welded to replicate the factory fuel cell shape. The steel straps are custom-formed to the shape of the tank and made to a similar width as the 2000 R to further give it the correct appearance. New mounting hardware is supplied, including new side-specific tank mounting strap plates to eliminate the hinge-style factory mounting. Thick insulating foam is included to place on the back side of the strap to reduce rattling, vibrations, and potential metal-on-metal contact wear. SVE's tank cover, straps, and mounting plates are powder coated in a gorgeous satin black finish, just like the factory 2000 R, to complete the look!

Fuel Tank, Pads & Seals
This fuel tank kit includes high-quality components that are built to last. Made of a stamped steel construction this gas tank is made for 1999-2004 Mustangs with electronic fuel injection (EFI) and has all of the pre-cut holes needed for all accessories. Featuring a new LMR fuel tank pad kit, this install kit ensures your tank doesn't see metal-on-metal contact when raised into place. To finish out the install kit, LMR includes a new fuel filter, fuel filler neck grommet, vapor valve and vapor valve seal. These seals are built from a durable rubber construction. The fuel-resistant compounds ensure leak-free performance for years to come!
