SVE PS/AC Delete Bracket Kit With Underdrive Pulleys & Belt - 5.0
Ditch the extra weight and gain a few extra horsepower in your 1979-1993 Mustang 5.0/5.8 with this SVE power steering and A/C delete bracket kit delete kit! As so often happens, you end up trying to take your Fox Body to the next level on the track for quicker ETs. Eliminating the A/C and converting to manual steering is a common way to do so, but it leaves you trying to figure out how to route your serpentine belt. Well, it usually left you with a wonky alternator bracket that was hard to align or tension and often didn't give proper belt wrap. With SVE's delete bracket, you can retain the stock belt tensioner, bypass the smog pump, and have the proper belt wrap and alignment. In return, you can drop a lot of weight off the front end, and the free-turning pulley requires less horsepower from the engine, resulting in more power to the rear wheels! We also include some SVE underdrive pulleys and a matching belt to complete your installation and free up maximum power.
SVE Delete Bracket
Manufactured in the USA, with the SVE logo engraved front and center, it is sure to clean up your engine bay. The brackets are constructed of lightweight 3/8" thick 6061 billet aluminum construction that's fully CNC machined for strength and durability to prevent bending under load. Pre-drilled holes allow it to be bolted directly to the water pump, freeing up valuable real estate on the front end of your Windsor engine. Aluminum stand-off spacers place the bracket in the proper alignment for the belt drive and secure it with the correct length of hardware. SVE took it a step further, supplying a high-quality Motorcraft idler pulley that won't squeak or wobble and is easy to acquire a replacement in the future.
SVE Aluminum Underdrive Pulley Kit
With a few simple hand tools, you can easily swap out your stock pulleys with these lighter, resized pulleys for a noticeable difference in power! Underdrive pulleys are resized pulleys designed to drive a vehicle's accessories at a slower rate than factory. Each kit features a new crank, water pump, and alternator pulley to reduce the amount of power your accessories use and free up horsepower that was once robbed by your accessory drive. Manufactured from billet aluminum to give you a strong and lightweight addition to your 5.0 motor. With a lighter pulley, you get a quicker spinning accessory drive that will operate more efficiently, increasing horsepower and torque. This kit features a black finish to add a clean look to your engine bay!
