Replace your malfunctioning sending unit with this Motorcraft 1979-1989 Mustang oil pressure sending unit! An oil pressure sensor's job is to measure engine oil pressure and relay that information to the instrument cluster oil pressure gauge! There are various symptoms that present themselves when the oil pressure unit is malfunctioning, such as an extremely high, low, erratic, or no reading at all, causing oil pressure problems to go unchecked. A leaking oil pressure sending unit on your pushrod 5.0 engine can be caused by a broken or cracked housing. Manufactured from high-quality materials, this unit has the correct 1/4 NPT threaded fitting and pre-applied thread sealer to simplify the installation. Located on the oil pressure extension on the driver's side behind the power steering pump, this fits into existing wiring without the need for splicing.
