Trick Flow Main Cap Girdle - 5.8
Beef up the bottom end of your 351w engine with this Trick Flow main cap girdle for the 1979-1995 Mustang with a 5.8 swap! A main cap girdle is designed to tie directly into the main caps; this reduces deflection in the main caps, giving you better performance out of your 2-bolt main Windsor-based engine. Crafted from high-grade tool steel, this girdle connects to all the main caps without spacers or machining down the caps to install. Trick Flow took it a step further to add a provision for an oil pump pickup and tube hold-down by adding a tapped hole into the support. Supplied in the kit are new, stronger main cap bolts that are a longer length to accommodate the thickness of the girdle. Working with the stock rotating assembly but will also clear larger stroker assemblies up to 3.850"!
