The Mustang continued on from 1990 with few changes. However, several options were added for 1991. The 4cyl went from 90hp to 105hp with a new cylinder head that contained two spark plugs per cylinder that improved combustion efficiency! Unfortunately, sales did drop a little this year which resulted in the Camaro selling more units.
The most drastic addition to this year model was the 16x7 inch five-spoke aluminum wheels. They were much easier to keep clean than the previous wheels and the front fenders were redesigned in the wheel opening area to accommodate the larger wheel/tire combination.
