The Mustang received a new body! Changes to the exterior included a restyled Mustang emblem, a new headlight & tail light design, a slimmer side mirror, and much much more. The V8 returned with 315hp and for the first time, a ram air system was made standard on the GT. The Shelby GT500 now put out 540HP. This was a 40HP increase from the GT500 model of 2009. All of the minor upgrades that were added to the lower-end 2010 models applied to the GT500 models as well. This would be the last year of the 4.6L and we would see a return of the iconic Boss 302!

The 2010 Mustang's interior was also revised with higher quality thermoplastic olefin plastic surfaces, real aluminum trim, and improved fit and finish. Ford SYNC became available as a factory-installed option on all trim levels except the base model.
