Ford hasn't released a ton of information about the 3.7L Ti-VCT V6 engine for the 2015-17 Mustang. It is safe to say this will probably be a simple carry over from the previous 2014 S197 Mustang. In the pre-2015 models this V6 engine was a significant jump in horsepower over the previous V6 Mustang models. It made an impressive 305 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 280 ft. lbs torque at 4,250 rpm. This was more horsepower than the Fox Body Mustang 5.0 and SVT Cobra. This engine is no weakling by any means; however, with the introduction of the 2.3L EcoBoost 4 cylinder engine arriving in the S550 Mustang, I don't see the 3.7L V6 being a super popular motor option.
I'm sure we will see plenty of performance Mustang parts for the V6 as the designs and R&D are already there from previous models.
