With 2020 being the first year of the High-Performance Package (HPP) EcoBoost, this was one huge change that many consumers were looking for. This HPP package brings a higher-output version of its 2.3-liter turbocharged 4 cylinder engine. This engine was adapted from the Ford Focus RS turbo engine with improved handling components from the Mustang GT's Performance Package. Other features include larger brakes, active exhaust, a strut-tower brace, and an aluminum instrument panel with a gauge pack included.
Also new to the 2020 Mustang is the 2020 Mustang GT500! This GT500 receives a supercharged version of the 5.2-liter V8 engine that puts out a whopping 760 HP and 625 lb-ft of torque! Also with much controversy comes the transmission on the 2020 GT500 being that it only comes equipped with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Even though the 6-speed manual transmission isn't offered on this model, but it is offered as a standard feature on all other 2020 Mustang models.
