Mass Air Meters measure the volume of air coming through the intake to determine how much fuel to inject into your engine. Upgrading your Mustang MAF can improve throttle response and horsepower by opening up the diameter of the meter over the stock unit. If upgrading your fuel system in a 1989-1995 Mustang, it is a must to match the calibration of your fuel injectors to the Mustang mass air meter. Otherwise, your engine will not run properly. These meters are calibrated for 19lb, 24lb, 30lb, 36lb, 38lb, 42lb, and larger injectors. With the introduction of the OBD 2 and newer ECUs, the mass air meter can be calibrated with a custom tune rather than a new mass air sensor.
