1986-93 Ford Mustang BBK Throttle Position Sensor (TPS Sensor) - Fox Body - 5.0 by BBK

I had the occasional jerking and halting on my 1990 GT. I received this part and was glad there is a video online showing a stock unit- this BBK shows zero instructions in the box I opened. No worries, since I took two screws, one connector and boom, worked like a dream. Best 39.99 part I've every purchased. I read all that was said about making sure the volts are accurate, in the end I put it on, car started and ran 100% like new- ( idle surge was corrected as well ) - so I didn't even bother to get out a volt meter.

So, I was having some serious drivability issues with my '90 GT. Upon starting, car would rev uncommanded to a little over 2k and hold there for a second until dropping to a high idle between 1000-1400 rpm, varying on different days. Along with that, at 40mph in 3rd, or really any low throttle situation, the car would have a strong sputter, felt as if it had lost fuel honestly. Upon running a diagnostic, I found the TPS to be out of range, so hoping to get things back in order, I went ahead and got this part. It has cured many of my issues and the car feels much stronger now. I can't speak to longevity, it's only been on a week, but so far so good. Typically I prefer Motorcraft parts for electronic bits, but this was a good price so I went ahead and did it, and as of now I have no regrets. If you have an engine code for the TPS I would recommend this part, it took all of 5 minutes to install and has fixed my drivability, to an extent within the parameters of this part. Car was neglected (not all garage queens are maintained as well as their aesthetic looks), so I will have other sensors to buy and I'm very open to getting them from Late Model as they have good selection and prices.

I had left a review and gave the Item a 2 star review because at about a year of having installed it, it went bad. After leaving the negative feedback, LMR took the time to call me and address the Issue. They sent me a free one even after warranty was over to apologize for the inconvenience. That's what I call customer follow up, and customer service!! Actions like this is what keep customers loyal to a Brand, Business!!!!

This sensor works and fixed my idle problem. However, it did not come with the retaining clip to hold down the cable, as my old one shattered upon removal. Also the connector was a pain to clip in. I still can not get it to fully engage, but it works and hasn't come undone yet

Worked good for about a year then went out! After calling LMR the guy that helped me seemed like he just didn't want to Even try to serif I was eligible for a free replacement! And kept asking what codes I got that made me think my TPS went out!!
