Mustang BMR Lowering Springs Dial in the stance of your Mustang with a set of 1979-2004 Mustang BMR lowering springs! Whether you're looking to close the gap in your fender or improve the performance of your suspension, this BMR lowering spring kit is just the ticket. Featuring a 1" drop, this kit lowers your car just the right amount. BMR fine-tuned the spring rate on this kit to greatly improve handling with a smooth ride. A linear spring rate provides support while keeping your car flat and level in the corners while being soft and comfortable on bumpy roads.
BMR Quality BMR manufactures all of its springs from chrome silicon, high-tensile spring wire that's cold wound on a CNC coiling machine. This allows them to adjust the spring diameter in real-time to make sure each spring is the same and matches left to right. Double compression at the factory gives the spring its permanent set to guarantee no sagging in the future. 750-degree stress relief and a shot-peen eliminate all surface stresses. Their final step is to computer test every spring to measure force which allows BMR to offer a lifetime warranty against spring sag for the ultimate peace of mind.
Do I Need Anything Else For Installation?
While these springs can be installed on most Mustangs without the need of additional parts, there are a few things you want to consider when installing Mustang lowering springs.
- Caster Camber Plates - When lowering your Mustang, your suspension geometry will change. This will cause your front end’s alignment to become out of spec, leading to uneven tire wear. A set of caster camber plates will allow you to easily align your Mustang correctly.
- Shocks/Struts - Adding lowering springs can take its toll on factory suspension, not to mention, you might be overdue for new shocks and struts. This is the perfect time to address shocks and struts while you have the suspension torn apart for your lowering spring install.
- Bumpsteer Kit - Complete your SVE upgrade with a bump steer kit. Lowering a Mustang can cause bump steer - the tendency for the wheel of a car to change directions when you hit a bump. This easy-to-install kit replaces your factory tie rods with heavy duty, spherical rod ends that adjust and correct your suspension geometry to prevent bump steer.
