1999-04 Ford Mustang Cowl Vent Cover - New Edge

I was hesitant on not getting the OEM part but this part was fine, be careful removing the factory cowl panel as the clips that hold it in will almost certainty break and must be reused and are impossible to find, just remove it slowly. If you lose them go to a junk yard and try again.

It looks good and was made well. i had a little trouble on each end with the rubber strip wanting to not lay flat but i think it was an issue with my car. It is highly advised to order all the replacement clips as my old one's were not reusable.

Both ends of the grille were separating from the seal. Had to return the item.

I used this on a 2004 mustang.. overall the look and quality was good.. however I found it to be a little too long at the edges to fit properly.. I used an air grinder to shape each end to have to part fit without buckling. Without grinding some material off the ends the piece would not fit properly.. this took a bit of time but the result was good.. be aware that it may not be a simple snap in install depending on the year car..

Bought this to replace the original cowl on my grandson's 2000 Mustang which had a large piece missing--when he took it off it broke into several pieces. The new one feels like a much more durable material and went on very easily...I would suggest getting new clips/push pins as we couldn't even find the old ones after the old cowl crumbled. This part broke on my mustang over three years ago and has been driving me crazy since. Finally got a chance to purchase it and replace it. Fits perfectly and makes my mustang look like new again.

This product is a cheap alternative to the factory ford plastic and u cant even notice the difference between the two. The quality of this product is very nice. Great fit.

This fit my 04 GT great, and the rubber seal is great quality.

Like everyone else who owns a new edge, my wiper cowl cracked. I had a car show coming up in a couple of weeks so I ordered this from LMR because it was an affordable one piece and I've had good experience with LMR. Received it quickly as usual and it was packaged well. Upon pulling it out of the packaging I noticed that the rubber trim that sits against the windshield wasn't attached. I stuck it back onto the two sided tape and it seemed like it was holding fine. So I get this thing installed, everything is fine until a couple of days later I go to get the car out to start preparing for the show and that rubber piece is detached again and WILL NOT stick back on. My only option at this point is to pull it off and pray I can find all of the clips. Well I pulled it off and couldn't find one clip (of course) but ended up finding one off of my original cowl. Had to silicone the rubber strip on which was tedious, but it works. If I had to do it all over again I would have siliconed it from the beginning. Something so simple shouldn't be so hard. Tell your manufacturer to use better trim tape.

The part fit very well and the price was good also. I have only one true gripe is the hood hinge points. No mater how you try to adjust the panel so the hood attachment brackets go right up the middle of the rubber channels the distance is off about 1/8 inch to shallow. When opening the hood the rubber bunches up and will lt will become a problem in the long run.

Trimming the channel isn't viable either then the gap will be too wide and look unfinished. This is a decent aftermarket product and I would recommend it to replace a sun baked one at good price.

I read some reviews about how it had to be trimmed to fit. I attempted to install, and did so, however it is just a little too large and is buckled on one side. This prevents it from snapping in. Also, after a few attempts just to get it on, the seal was falling off and since it did not have a snug fit against the glass, it is now hanging below the cover. I'll have to 1) remove and trim one side (1/4", 1/2"?), then 2) apply adhesive to the seal and hope that it dries and seals. May use vinyl siding scissors (?) trim it!!?

I really would like to give it 4 1/2 stars, bcause I was impressed with the look and fit and ease of installation (25 min). The only thng is that on the very end, the weatherstripping came off of the plastic, maybe in shipping. I also HIGHLY reccommend getting the retainer clips, as ALL of mine were broken or lost! Hopefully, this will cure my leak into the driver's side floor area! Thanks LMR, this is a great product!

I bought this product to replace an old cracked cowl grill and the quality looks outstanding over the stock cowl grill. When I tried to put it on the item doesn't fit right and is not snug with the windshield and constantly comes up even though the plugs are in place. The weatherstripping does not stay in place and just falls off. I should have paid the extra amount and got the OEM item.

Finally replaced my cowl vent grill that was cracked with this one. Installation was really simple however, one of the tabs on the driver side broke off during the install while trying to seat it in the grove. It doesn't really effect anything cause the edge sits under the seal of the a-post and that holds it in place. Overall good product just take your time.

Product seems to be exact dimensions as the stop cowl vent. My only complaint is the weather stripping that is in contact with the windshield started to detach from the cowl vent itself, I easily glued it back on though. I would suggest purchasing the cowl vent grille kit (comes with new clips and plastic "pop-its"), LMR Part# LRS-N805229S-K

This replacement cowl vent cover looks & fits great, but 3 of the tabs broke off. I was careful to align the tab with the slot and not to push too hard; 3 broke anyway. ABS is pretty tough plastic so unless there are more recent problems like this I will have to live with it. Lowes sells an ABS 2 part epoxy.

I just received and installed a new cowl cover. It looks great but I was abit disappointed when the rubber seal that lays on the windshield started to come off before I started the install. Hopefully alittle weather seal adhesive should take care of it .

Had no trouble installing, except pinched finger re-installing wiper blades. Would recommend also getting the pins and brackets to help with the install. Looks factory, very happy with it. Installation video helped.

I bought this due to my cowl vent being all sun toasted and broken. Fitment was good. The hard part was taking out the old one because it keep breaking apart everywhere.

Bought the cowl panel to replace my broken one. Service was friendly and fast. Part arrived on time and the fit was perfect. Great job guys

Spend the extra for the Ford model, appearance is good but the part is made in Taiwan of very brittle plastic compared to OEM.

Bought those a couple of weeks ago and it took a little work to put on but overran went in smoothly.

I am extremely pleased with the cowl vent cover. It fits perfectly and so worth the money.

It fit and looks good but the molding tht fit to Windows dosent fit u have to modifie it
