1999-2004 Mustang Alternator Bracket From the factory, the 1999-2000 Mustang GT 4.6 2v cars had an intake manifold made entirely of plastic. Over time, the plastic would develop a crack in the front coolant crossover causing a coolant leak. To address the issue, Ford designed an updated intake manifold in that utilized an aluminum coolant crossover instead of plastic. Due to the design change, the factory alternator would interfere with the aluminum coolant crossover at the front of the intake manifold. In order to provide a turn key solution, LMR has resolved this common issue by reproducing the revised bracket to properly mount the alternator and give adequate clearance. With this problem solving bracket, you will be able to install the alternator on your New Edge Mustang with the ultimate peace of mind.
