Mustang Front of Fender Molding
Restore the exterior of your Fox Mustang with this 1979-1984 Mustang left hand front of fender molding! These moldings usually become wrinkled during removal, and are unable to be straightened back out due to the metal banding inside; thus replacing them is the only option to get a straight molding. Daniel Carpenter Reproductions's molding is an exact reproduction of your original, for a factory correct replacement! This molding is located ahead of the front wheel on the driver side.
Daniel Carpenter Reproductions Quality
This high quality molding features a molded urethane construction that arrives ready for prep and paint. The recessed C-Channel for the stripe accepts the several different stripes offered in this year range. Automotive grade 3M double sided tape is pre-installed to secure the molding to your Fox after paint. The steel reinforcement bands were intentionally left out to prevent kinks that show through the molding. You won't find a better molding kit for your Fox restoration project!
Fitment Note
Due to the use of several different bumpers over this year range, the profile of the molding may not match up perfectly with the molding of the bumper. This is evident in Ford original moldings as well as these reproduction moldings.
Molding Note
Due to the manufacturing process, scuff marks may be apparent. These marks must be sanded and prepped before painting and installation.
Application
Fits 1979-1984 Mustang Disclaimer
Test fitment and paint preparation of this part are mandatory BEFORE painting. Neither LMR nor the product manufacturer is responsible for fitment or finish issues after the paint has been applied. Professional preparation, installation, and painting are highly recommended.
On urethane and fiberglass body parts, due to the manufacturing process, it is common to see irregular surface patterns, sanding, buffing, and mold release marks on products. These marks are normal and will not be present once the product has been sanded, prepped, and painted to match your vehicle.
