19 Tooth Speedometer Gear & Clip Kit - Manual Transmission
Adjust the speedometer in your manual transmission-equipped 1983-1995 Mustang with this 5.0 Resto 19-tooth speedometer gear and clip kit. Changes to your rear-end gear ratio or wheel and tire size can cause your speedometer to display an incorrect MPH reading, making recalibration necessary. This is easily accomplished by installing a new 5.0 Resto speedometer gear. The driven speedometer gear is the gear located on the transmission end of the cable, located on the driver’s side of the transmission. It attaches to the end of the speedometer cable and is secured in place with a simple retaining clip before being installed in the transmission. Constructed from molded plastic, just like the original, this 5.0 Resto gear is manufactured to the correct dimensions and tolerances for proper fit and function. It features a 19-tooth helical design with the retaining clip slot in the correct location. Each speedometer gear from 5.0 Resto includes a new retaining clip, eliminating the need to reuse your old one. Giving you everything you need for a quick and easy speedometer gear installation in one complete kit.
