Replace your Fox Body window run channels and weatherstrip with this 5.0 Resto window run channel resto kit for 1979-1986 Mustangs! This hard-to-find trim surrounds the window frame of your door and houses the run channel weatherstrip. The run channels are typically mishandled during removal, which results in them becoming bent, dinged, and damaged. The factory run channel weatherstrip deteriorates and begins to harden, becoming brittle, cracking, and breaking, which creates wind noise and allows exterior elements to enter. 5.0 Resto's kit has the correct channel that allows it to slide onto the window frame and stay securely in place. Fitment Notice

Fits 1979-1986 Mustang Coupe & Hatchback (Does not Fit T-Top Mustangs).
This weatherstrip comes in a flat roll. It is designed to be pressed into the channel and, with its molded creases, will fold over to properly fit the window run channel.
1979-1982 Mustangs had a slightly different sized boomerang/upper section of the door frame. This can affect how this window trim installs. You will need to begin the installation by lining up the trim at the front, where the door window frame starts to bend. The hole for the set screw had position variance depending on the year, so it's best to align the trim to your liking before installing the set screw. Due to this variance, there may appear to be minimal gap where the boomerang trim meets the vertical trim piece.
