There is nothing more annoying when trying to unlock your Fox Body than having to try multiple keys to fumble with. Ford knew of this issue, even having it as a factory option on SSP Police Mustangs. Well, now you can simplify your Fox Body with 5.0 Resto's single key conversion to have the same convenience. Quick and easy installation in under an hour makes for a simple way to keep your vehicle secure! The hardest part of the entire installation is removing your door panels and disconnecting the battery.

This premium-quality conversion set includes an ignition cylinder, two door lock cylinders, a trunk lock cylinder, two matching square-style keys, and all the needed seals and retainers! 5.0 Resto includes a glove box lock cylinder for the 1987-1993 Mustang to round out the last lock. This is a great solution to replacing your locks without having to get a locksmith to make new keys for your Mustang. These cylinders feature stainless steel construction with machined bezels to give you a great OE look on the exterior. A door lock rod clip is preinstalled, so you won't need to worry about weak plastic when removing the old cylinders.

Fitment Notice

You will need to reuse your original trunk lock retainer in most applications. A new seal is available here - Trunk Lock Retainer Seal (79-93)
1 of 3 provided lock cylinder retainers won't be used since the OEM hatch/trunk cylinder retainer is reused. The installer must source a 3/32" rivet to retain the OEM hatch/truck lock cylinder.
Cutting and bending of the provided lock rod for trunk applications. Refer to the installation video.
The shoulders on the hatch/trunk lock cylinder will need to be filed down to fit the OEM retainer. Refer to the installation video.
The glove box lock cylinder only works for 1987-1993 Mustangs.
The keys that are provided in this kit are specific to the provided lock cylinders. You will not be able to utilize standard replacement keys with this kit.
