Ford Cooling Fan Resistor
Replace and fix your 2001-2004 Mustang's cooling fan with this Ford-original cooling fan resistor to restore proper cooling system function. A cooling fan resistor controls the electric radiator fan's speed, allowing it to run at lower speeds (like when the engine is just warming up or A/C is on) by reducing voltage through resistance, then bypassing the resistor for high speed (when hot) for maximum airflow, preventing overheating and ensuring efficient engine cooling and A/C performance by stepping up power as needed. This resistor is usually the culprit if your radiator cooling fan is malfunctioning. This resistor is located on the cooling fan assembly on the passenger side and is commonly damaged or broken after years of service. Supplied is a new Ford original resistor, made using the same construction as the original, with the proper mounting locations, connector, and temperature cutoff for your New Edge Mustang.
