Fuel Tank, Pads & SealsThis fuel tank kit includes high-quality components that are built to last. Made of a stamped steel construction this gas tank is made for 1998 Mustangs with electronic fuel injection (EFI) and has all of the pre-cut holes needed for all accessories. Featuring a new LMR fuel tank pad kit, this install kit ensures your tank doesn't see metal-on-metal contact when raised into place. To finish out the install kit, LMR includes a new fuel filler neck grommet and vapor valve seal. These seals are built with a durable rubber construction built to last. The fuel-resistant compounds ensure leak-free performance for years to come!
Fuel Pump AssemblyFeaturing a new 12 Volt electric pump and sending unit, this complete assembly pump will restore fuel flow, increase fuel efficiency, and ensure a proper fuel gauge reading. Rated at the correct 130lph flow rate, just like the OEM unit. Factory-style electrical connections and pin terminals allow the use of the factory fuel pump harness and eliminate the need to re-pin the connections. This fuel pump assembly is designed for the factory mounting location, making this factory-style fuel pump the perfect choice to get your Mustang back on the road!
Fuel Tank Vapor ValveYour fuel tank is vented to the carbon canister through the vapor valve assembly. The valve is mounted in a rubber grommet at a central location on the upper surface of the fuel tank. A vapor space between the fuel level and the tank's upper surface is combined with a small orifice and float shut-off valve in the vapor valve assembly to prevent liquid fuel from passing to the carbon canister. The vapor space also allows for the thermal expansion of the fuel.
