Ensure a proper seal of your 1996-2004 Mustang EGR valve with this Ford original EGR valve gasket! Whether replacing a leaking gasket or installing a new EGR valve, it is always a best practice to install a new gasket. This Ford gasket is made of the exact same OE gasket material as your Mustang came with from the factory. Designed to seal your EGR valve to the intake manifold of your 4.6 engine. The EGR Valve Position Sensor allows the PCM, or Powertrain Control Module, to keep tabs on the EGR Valve to make sure it is opening & closing at all the proper times. If the PCM reads something out of the ordinary, it will illuminate the Check Engine Light to alert you of the problem. This gasket is manufactured to factory specifications to ensure a proper seal and features the correct mounting holes and openings to make for worry-free installation. You can't go wrong with a Ford original replacement gasket for your 1996-2004 Mustang's exhaust gas recirculation valve.
