Utilizing the factory mounting locations and tolerances, the upper grille insert simply snaps into your stock grille shell, while the lower grille screws into your stock bumper for a direct fit. Located in the center of the upper grille, the correct mounting spot for the grille emblem is in place, with pre-cut holes to slide the emblem in. High-Quality Construction
LMR's Ford Lightning upper and lower grilles are constructed from black ABS plastic that's built to last. 5 horizontal bars and 7 vertical bars perfectly mimic the factory SVT upper grille, and a 3 horizontal bar and 5 vertical bar design matches the factory SVT lower grille. This durable ABS includes the correct mounting tabs surrounding the upper grille insert to easily lock into your grille shell. The emblem pad has locating holes in place, so you can slide the Ford emblem locating tabs through the grille and secure it in place with the included pal nuts.

To complete the look, LMR also includes a full grille paint kit containing two cans of paint and one can of adhesion promoter. The grille paint in this kit is made with quality SEM brand paint toners and flexing agents. Offering the best match to your original 01-04 Lightning grille paint color on the market, this kit has the closest match to the factory sheen, color, and metallic mixture. LMR provides two cans of grille paint and one can of adhesion promoter, which is enough paint to cover both the upper and lower grille for a factory-correct look. The adhesion promoter's job is to condition the surface of the plastics without distortion, allowing the paint to adhere better when applied. This product eases paint adhesion for areas that are difficult to sand, saving time without sacrificing the quality of the finished product. SEM sand-free adhesion promoter is formulated with a special blend of solvents that soften ABS, PVC, and similar plastics to aid adhesion. Utilizing a wet-on-wet application style, this product melts color into the plastic substrate on a molecular level.
