Give your ride the perfect foundation of an engine with this Boss Block-based Ford Performance 302 cubic inch short block! This short block comes pre-assembled with all brand-new parts! Add your own camshaft, cylinder heads, timing components, etc., and you'll be ready to tear up the streets! Ford Performance starts off with a new Boss 302 engine block that is cast and machined in the USA, then assembles it with a forged crankshaft, forged connecting rods, and forged pistons. This Mustang 302 short block will be sure to provide a solid foundation for any 302 build.

Short Block Specs:

Engine type: 302-based small block Ford
Displacement (cu in): 302
Bore x stroke (in): 4.000" bore x 3.000" stroke
Block: Boss 4-bolt main block M-6010-BOSS302 8.2" deck height
Piston to Deck Height: .010" below deck (nominal)
Crankshaft: Forged Steel
Connecting rods: Forged Steel
Pistons: Forged Aluminum – Check piston to valve clearance. 9.0:1 compression ratio (nominal) with 64cc combustion chamber cylinder heads
Hydraulic roller camshaft compatible
Internally balanced. Requires 0-oz balance flywheel and damper.
Recommended cylinder head fasteners: M-6065-BOSS head bolts or M-6014-BOSS studs, depending on application.
This short block is compatible with most aftermarket performance cylinder heads...
Works well with Ford Performance cylinder heads M-6049-Z2 and M-6049-X2
