Fitment Notice

The Hydroboost is, like a vacuum booster, a type of power assist. It will work with most of the front and rear caliper setups used on SN95 and Fox Body Mustangs.
It is up to the installer to confirm the volume of fluid required to move the caliper pistons is compatible with the volume of fluid the master cylinder can deliver. Please see installation instructions for details.
Proper front-to-rear brake bias is also required when using this kit.
Due to the nature of this swap, clearance issues with strut tower braces can be common.
Be sure to read the instructions for all details on properly installing and for a complete list of parts you will need.
A cooler in the return line is required to ensure proper fluid temperatures for track-driven Mustangs.
Match proper hydraulic hoses to the year of the hydroboost unit.
When performing a Coyote swap, the use of a 1996-2004 Mustang modular V8 power steering pump is recommended.
The OEM power steering pump on factory pushrod engines is suitable for hydroboost conversion.

This kit takes the stock hydroboost unit found in the 1996-98 Mustang GT/Cobra and adapts it to fit in your Fox Body Mustang's firewall, ensuring a no-hassle installation and improved stopping power on the road.

What is Hydroboost?

Fox Body Mustangs left the factory either with manual braking or vacuum-assisted brake boosters. Both of these work fine on normal-to-lightly modified cars, but for high horsepower or tracked cars, inconsistencies in the vacuum system can cause brake issues. Hydroboost brake boosters use the power of hydraulic fluid provided by the power steering pump to assist the driver in their braking needs. You will always have consistent braking power if the engine runs and the hydraulic system works smoothly.
