What is Hydroboost?Fox Body Mustangs left the factory either with manual braking or vacuum-assisted brake boosters. Both of these work fine on normal-to-lightly modified cars, but for high horsepower or tracked cars, inconsistencies in the vacuum system can cause brake issues. Hydroboost brake boosters use the power of hydraulic fluid provided by the power steering pump to assist the driver in their braking needs. You will always have consistent braking power if the engine runs and the hydraulic system works smoothly.
