Do I Need Anything Else For Installation?
While this alternator kit can be installed on most Mustangs without the need for additional parts, there are a few upgrades you may want to consider while you are replacing your alternator.

Alternator Bracket - Keep from having to modify your factory bracket and ensure a true bolt-on installation.
New Serpentine Belt - An old belt can weaken over time causing belt slip, charging problems, and irritating noises.

Utilizing a 100% brand new alternator, this kit requires no core charge and is backed by a 1-year warranty. Finished in a sleek silver housing and completed with a gold anodized pulley, this alternator will give a fresh appearance to your Mustang's engine bay. When installed with the factory crank pulley and the installed alternator pulley, this unit produces 100 amps at idle and just over 200 amps at peak! To safely protect the circuit from the additional output of this alternator and suppress audio noise through your electrical system, SVE provides a 10ft section of #4 gauge power wire with a pre-installed in-line 200 AMP fuse along with the two retaining screws. Wiring up this kit is easy with the included stator and voltage regulator plugs, terminal connectors, and crimp on connectors. Brand new upper alternator bolt and nut are provided to fasten the alternator into place for the ultimate peace of mind!

Fitment Notes

Since the alternator housing is slightly larger than the factory unit, minor bracket clearance/modification will be required for proper fitment, or buy our 5.0 Resto Alternator Bracket.
In order to retain warranty coverage, the included 4-gauge wire MUST be installed.
Be sure to confirm belt length after installation, as it can vary from application to application.
