SVE Black 200 Amp Alternator Full Upgrade Kit
Eliminate all guesswork with your Fox Body Mustang charging system with the help of SVE's 200 amp alternator upgrade kit! Originally equipped with a 75 amp alternator, 1986-1993 Mustangs were notorious for their small wiring and low power output. By adding modern accessories such as a radio or electric fans, the factory alternator simply can't keep up. To provide a complete solution to this common problem, SVE has put together this 200 amp alternator kit to supply your accessories with the power they deserve!
SVE Quality
Utilizing a 100% brand new alternator, this kit requires no core charge and is backed by a 1-year warranty. Finished in a satin black housing and completed with a black pulley, this alternator will add a stealth appearance to your Mustang's engine bay. When installed with the factory crank pulley and the installed alternator pulley, this unit produces 100 amps at idle and just over 200 amps at peak! To safely protect the circuit from the additional output of this alternator and suppress audio noise through your electrical system, SVE provides a 10ft section of #4 gauge power wire with a pre-installed in-line 200 AMP fuse along with the two retaining screws. Wiring up this kit is easy with the included stator and voltage regulator plugs, terminal connectors, and crimp on connectors. Brand new upper alternator bolt and nut are provided to fasten the alternator into place for the ultimate peace of mind!
Alternator Max RPM
- The maximum Alternator shaft RPM is 16,000 RPM. This RPM is calculated by taking the crank pulled diameter and dividing it by the alternator pulley diameter. Then multiply it by the max engine RPM.
Underdrive Pulley Notice
- Charging performance is tested with stock size accessory drive pulleys. Underdrive pulleys will lower the alternator RPM thus preventing optimal charging at engine base idle speed.
