SVE Cobra Rear Brake Conversion
Improve the braking performance of your 1994-2004 Mustang GT/V6 by removing the factory 10.5" rear brake rotors and upgrading to the 11.65" rotors with the help of these SVE Cobra rear brake conversion! Cobra, Bullitt, and Mach 1 Mustangs came from the factory with larger vented rear brake rotors compared to their V6 and GT siblings. These rotors measure over 1" larger than the factory Mustang brakes and provide additional cooling with their cooling vanes. Traditionally, when upgrading to the 1994-2004 Cobra rear brakes, you had to purchase used parts or a costly original conversion kit. SVE is proud to offer these billet Cobra rear brake caliper mounting brackets for your SN95 or New Edge Mustang. This kit includes billet SVE caliper mounting brackets, caliper bracket bolts, new dust shields with hardware, and SVE's Cobra anti-moan brackets!
Rear Brake Mounting Brackets
To demonstrate their meticulous attention to detail, SVE utilizes only the highest quality materials to provide the perfect brake upgrade solution for your 1994-2004 Mustang. Precision CNC machined from T-6061 billet aluminum, these caliper mounting brackets are lightweight and durable to last for years. For additional peace of mind, these are manufactured in the USA. Each machine-finished bracket also features an SVE logo engraved into it. Zinc-coated, grade 10.9 bolts are included to protect against corrosion from the exterior elements and ensure everything is securely fastened. Cobra Anti-moan Brackets
A commonly missed part of performing this swap is the anti-moan brackets. Without these braces, the calipers vibrate when the brakes are applied, producing a very audible moaning noise. By triangulating the caliper mounting bracket, the anti-moan brace helps absorb this vibration, eliminating the moan. Featuring a stamped steel construction, these braces are heavy-duty and built to last. Each bolt hole is carefully located to align accurately with the holes in Cobra caliper mounting brackets. The clamshell section has been fully seam-welded to provide added strength compared to factory moan braces. Zinc-coated U-bolts and serrated locking nuts are used along with a black, E-coat finish to resist corrosion for years to come.
Rear Brake Rotor Dust Shield Kit
Brake dust shields are a vital part of your braking system. They prevent road debris and water from contacting your rear brake components. Combined in this kit are new dust shields made of a stamped steel construction! Supplied in a raw finish, we suggest giving them a coat of paint before installation to keep them looking great. The attaching hardware is made using a high-quality steel construction; each bolt has the correct thread pitch and length for a simple installation. A bright zinc coating was utilized to ensure a great finishing touch, long service life, and great corrosion protection.
