SVE SVO Style Front Brake Kit - 5 Lug w/ Stock RotorsDecrease the stopping distance in your 1987-1993 Fox Body Mustang 5.0 with this 5-lug SVE SVO front brake kit with stock rotors! A popular brake upgrade on the later model Fox Body Mustangs was to upgrade your factory brake calipers to the larger SVO calipers. SVE took this a step further, making a full kit with stock style rotors, new rubber brake hoses, upgraded slider pin bushing, and all-new bearings. The larger SVE SVO style calipers feature 73mm pistons compared to the stock 60mm piston, thus increasing the caliper's ability to apply more overall force. This option from SVE includes a pair of brand-new SVO-style front brake calipers to make your Fox Body stop better in no time.
SVE SVO Calipers
SVE has these calipers made from 100% brand-new construction to ensure superior quality control and avoid relying on decade-old cores. A major upgrade on these calipers is the larger 73mm steel pistons, which are stronger and less prone to cracking than the cheaper phenolic pistons used originally. These SVE brake calipers feature a bare finish so that they are ready for you to paint or powder coat any color you want. The SVE SVO-style brake calipers come loaded with a semi-metallic compound pad that is heavy-duty enough for weekend track days and the occasional autocross event yet gentle enough to still be used on a daily driver without excessive rotor wear. With all new pins, sliders, bleeder screws, rubber covers, and banjo bolts needed for a quick and easy installation.
Stock Style Brake Rotor - 5 Lug
This is a stock replacement brake rotor for your 1987-93 Ford Mustang 5.0L. This is an 11", 5-lug rotor, and it includes the studs for a quick and simple installation. Inner and outer bearing cups are also included. Double disc ground, taper-free finish. Double disc grinding ensures parallelism, eliminates run out, and provides near-perfect disc thickness variation (DTV). Double disc grinding leaves a non-directional finish on the friction surface area for a more effective pad-rotor break-in. This special finish also provides quieter and smoother stops. These premium rotors also feature 100% fully machined finishes, including rotor hats. This extra process provides better rotor balance and creates a cleaner, more finished-looking component. In addition, all of our rotors are inspected for balance and mill-corrected to a tolerance of less than 2oz. per inch.
Complete Your InstallationSVE front brake caliper sleeve replaces those rubber bushings with stainless steel sleeves that prevent caliper movement for improved braking and full pad contact - helping to extend pad and rotor life and making the rotors less prone to warping from uneven pad contact. Supplied in this kit are brand new rubber brake hoses to refresh the dry rot factory hoses. These front brake hoses are constructed with a durable rubber hose with strong metal fittings and factory lengths. Rounding out the kit is a full set of wheel bearings, dust caps, spindle nuts, and Inner grease seals for your new rotors.
