From the factory, your Mustang was equipped with a radiator that had plastic end tanks. These end tanks commonly cracked from years of track day abuse and heat cycles, causing pesky coolant leaks. To address this common issue, SVE has developed this all-aluminum radiator to maximize heat dissipation and performance, keeping your engine temperatures low! SVE designed this radiator to be a direct bolt-on replacement for any factory radiator that is clogged, leaking, or damaged.

Attention 1996 Cobra Owners Due to a cooling system recall, the radiator in your car may differ from what it left the factory within 96. The recall replaced the A/C condenser, radiator, brackets, and cooling fan with 1997 model parts. You will need to verify if the upgrade was done to your car before ordering. You can easily tell if you still have the 96 style radiator if the driver-side upper mount is triangular and located a few inches out from the tank.

Aluminum Radiator Maintenance
Proper maintenance of an aluminum radiator is essential for the longevity and efficiency of your vehicle's cooling system. Start by performing a complete flush of the entire cooling system, including all hoses and the engine block, to ensure it is free from old fluid or contaminants. Always refer to your user manual for the correct type of coolant and maintain a 50/50 mix of coolant and water. Failing to do this can lead to
electrolysis, where electricity flows through the system, causing severe corrosion and pitting on the aluminum surfaces. To avoid this, regular maintenance every 30,000 miles is recommended, including flushing and inspecting the system. Additionally,
NEVER use the radiator as a ground for electrical components, as this can accelerate electrolysis and lead to further damage.
