Ideal for drag and road racing applications, this k-member and control arm kit retains the factory wheelbase and is lighter than the factory setup, saving up to 50+lbs. By removing front end weight off of your Mustang, you will experience improved traction and weight transfer for the ultimate handling experience. While improving the front suspension geometry of your Mustang, UPR's designs increase clearance for aftermarket headers and oil pans to eliminate all the guesswork for your future installs!

UPR Quality

Featuring a 4130 Chrome Moly Steel tubular construction, UPR went the extra mile and manufactured this tubular k-member with thick 1/4" motor mount pads using a tig welder. Finished in a durable gloss silver powder coating, this k-member will resist corrosion as good as it looks and performs! UPR's unique design allows this k-member to handle the abuse of drag and road racing while, most importantly, handling the everyday wear and tear of street driving! The 100% CNC'd Chrome Moly control arms feature 1"x.095 wall seamless tubing with CNC machined bearing cups. Just like the k-member, these control arms are coated in a corrosion-resistant silver powder coat finish that will last a lifetime!

Applications And Fitment Notes:

  • Factory and aftermarket engine mounts may have alignment pins that can cause fitment issues. Removal of the alignment pin might be necessary for correct mating of engine mount to k-member.
  • Clunks, squeaks, and pops can be normal occurrences with coil-over setups
  • Coil-over conversion may reduce the area between the strut and wheel. High positive offset wheels or wide wheels may have clearance issues between wheels/tires and coil-over setup.
  • The suspension bushings included with this part can only be lubricated with PTFE grease, also referred to as "Marine Grease". PTFE grease is a very sticky, opaque grease that is water proof and will not degrade the bushing material. If lubed properly at installation, these bushings will not need to be lubricated again. Use of any other grease on these bushings will cause the bushing to fail and any bushing warranty to be voided.
  • Installation of the coilovers may require clearancing around the shock towers and frame rails.
  • Coil-over conversion may reduce the area between the strut and wheel. High positive offset wheels or wide wheels may have clearance issues between wheels/tires and coil-over setup.

    About This Brand

    UPR
In 1989, Mark Mainiero and his son Joe started UPR Products with Mustangs in mind. With the help of their employees Jeremy Martorella and Bart Tobener, they brought in more racing victories and records than any other shop of that time. In 1998, Joe recognized the need for a company that fully understood the Mustang racer's suspension needs. While making customer service his main priority, he strived to offer the strongest, lightest, and highest quality parts at an affordable price. A firm believer in the “keep it simple” philosophy Joe made sure all his components could be easily installed and adjusted. Shop UPR for high quality Mustang performance and dress up components.
