Hi, I'm Jeff.

And I'm Jonathan. We're with latemodelrestoration.com. Today we're going to be talking about power window motors for your '79 to '93 Fox Mustang. Our 50resto Power Window Motor Kit includes direct replacement power window motors that have the correct electrical connector. That way there's no cutting or splicing, just a direct bolt in. These are available individually, but Jeff, tell us a little bit more about the kits that we offer.

Sure thing, Jonathan. Now, we do have a couple of different kits. One of the more popular ones is the one you see in front of you. This kit includes window guide bushings, motors, door panel push pins, and a door panel removal tool. And we also have a master kit that includes door lock actuators and kits available for you convertible guys.

Thanks for all that info, Jeff. Let's go ahead and get these things installed.

Sure thing, Johnathan.

As you can see, we've already got the door panel out of the way. If you need some extra help with that, check out our Door Panel Removal video on our YouTube channel. I've also got this speaker pulled out of the way for access to the window motor. If your car doesn't have speakers, it'll either have a phone plug or nothing at all blocking the hole.

Now, the window regulator is spring-loaded to hold the window IN the up position. But just as a safety precaution, I always put a strip of tape on there to hold it in place.

Now we'll move on to the electrical connector. It's a real simple unplug and then feed it down into the door and out through the speaker hole.

Then there's three bolts that hold the window motor into place. I've already got two of them removed. Let's go ahead and get this third one out of the way and pop out the old window motor.

After you get your old power window motor out of the car, go ahead and save your hardware because we're going to be using it.

And I'm sure by now you've noticed that your new window motor doesn't have any threads cut in the holes. This is because that's the way it's intended to be. The factory screws are self-tapping and cut their own threads.

As you can see, I've already got one done. Let's knock out these other two and get this motor on the car.

All right, Jonathan, I just finished up the other side. I kind of had an alignment issue. Did you run into the same thing over here?

I'm glad you brought that up, Jeff. Some of you folks at home will probably run into the same thing. Sometimes, these window motors will just pop right back into the regulator. And sometimes, you have to rotate around just a shade to get the gears to engage. You'll feel it lock into place. Then you can go ahead and rotate it back around to line up the holes, throw your bolts in.

All right, that's a great tip to know. I'm going to pull this tape off so we can go ahead and test that motor out.

All right, Jeff, I appreciate that. Man, we are working good.

All right, looks good. Now, if you guys need some more tech tips or install videos, make sure you check out a latemodelrestoration.com
