How To Install 83-97 Mustang Fuel Filter

Tools Needed:

Drain Pan

5/16 Nut Driver

Flat Head Screw Driver

Installation Instructions

Place a drain under the filter.

Remove the plastic retaining clips securing both lines and slide the lines off.

Using 5/16" nut driver to loosen the retaining clamp.

Slide the filter out of the bracket.

Install the new filter back in place and reverse install everything else.

Use the supplied plastic retianing clips to secure the lines to the filer.

Removing the fuel filter is very simple
have you a drain pan in place

and remove the plastic retaining clip
on each of the lines going in the filter

slide the fuel lines off
grab a 5/16 nut driver

and loosen the retaining clamp
you can slide the filter

out of the bracket. Reinstallation is just
as easy – slide the new filter into place

tighten the clamp/retaining bracket
slide your two hoses back into place
