2000 Cobra R Front Splitter Brace
Reinforce and strengthen the front bumper and splitter on your 2000 Cobra R with this LMR front splitter brace! In 2000, Ford released 300 factory race cars identified as the SVT Cobra R. Each of these limited production cars was equipped with a unique front splitter mounted on the bumper in order to create downforce. With the added downforce applied, it put significant stress on the header panel where the front bumper was attached. There was a prototype splitter brace designed to reinforce the splitter and help prevent it from pulling the front bumper away from the header panel. This brace unfortunately never made it to production. LMR's splitter support brace is modeled after this prototype piece and designed to prevent your splitter from pulling your bumper away from the header panel. It features a combination mount tying into both the core support and the splitter. This design reduces the stress that is put on your bumper-to-header panel connection. Whether you install this brace on your Cobra R, or hang it up in the garage, we believe this is a great addition for any 2000 Cobra R owner.

How it works
LMR's 2000 Cobra R front splitter brace works by providing two cables that mount to your core support, which then run down to a tubular brace mounted to the splitter. The brace has two levels: the lower section, which extends into the splitter, and the upper section, which extends into the lower part of the front bumper. These work together to provide little movement when the splitter creates downforce.

LMR Quality
LMR's Cobra R splitter is built from thin-walled steel tubing for strength minimizing additional weight added. Each component of the brace including nut plates and cable mounts is TIG welded together to further add additional strength. The brace is then coated in a satin black, powder coat finish to provide corrosion protection that lasts. To make the installation quick and easy, LMR includes new mounting bolts, support cables, clamps, and heat shrink to protect the cable ends from fraying.

Fits 2000 Cobra R Mustang
Will ONLY fit production and Ford Racing 2000 Cobra R splitter.
The welded nuts that are positioned vertically are not used during installation. These were added to the LMR support brace because the prototype brace had them. We believe that they need to be there to validate the accuracy of the product.
