Fox Body Mustang Ultimate Headers 1-7/8" Coyote Swap Headers - 6R80 & 10R80
Eliminate all guesswork when installing a 5.0 Coyote engine into your 1979-1993 Mustang with these premium Coyote swap headers from Ultimate Headers! Utilizing large 1-7/8" primary tubes, these headers will flow a tremendous amount of exhaust out of your coyote engine. Featuring unique, 3/8" thick stainless steel flanges with reinforced ribbing for added strength and improved cooling, these headers will never warp or leak! Unlike the majority of the competition, these long tube headers are made right here in the USA, constructed from 321 stainless steel, and are the strongest headers available. The main benefits of 321 stainless steel include reduced weight and increased resistance to material fatigue or cracking from high heat situations.
Ultimate Headers Quality
Unlike ordinary crush or mandrel-bent tubing, Ultimate Headers opts for cast stainless steel elbows to form a tighter radius and maintain a thick sidewall on the tubing to ensure the absolute best fitment on the market. Traditional pipe benders will distort or stretch the material thin which can create issues since this is where the majority of the exhaust gas temperature and volume is at the highest. By using these tight radius cast elbows the header tubes are able to sit high and tight for a compact design that hugs the engine block, making these the perfect headers for your Coyote swap project. Cometic multilayer steel header gaskets are provided to ensure a leak-free performance that lasts! Each connection has been meticulously tig welded together and has been left in its natural stainless finish for the ultimate strength and elegance. Leading down from the header primaries are the appropriate oxygen sensor ports and large 3" slip fit collectors, giving you the freedom to customize the rest of the exhaust to your liking! Increasing horsepower and torque on your coyote swap project has never been easier thanks to the superior craftsmanship from Ultimate Headers. Rest assured that this will be the last set of headers you will ever have to buy for your coyote-swapped Mustang!
Due to the natural stainless steel finish, after several heat cycles, there will be discoloration on the piping.
K-Member Fitment: UPR, Team Z, QA1, & AJE.
Bolt-in compatible with the 6R80 & 10R80 transmissions.
A custom mid-pipe will need to be fabricated to mate to these headers.
If running a T-Sump style oil pan (Moroso, Canton, Holley, etc.) modifications may be required for fitment.
If you are running a Quick Time manual transmission bellhousing for your swap, Ultimate Headers recommends running part number LRS-473031. These bell housings tend to have slightly larger dimensions and can experience interference. LRS-473031 is slightly wider at the bellhousing location and will allow for enhanced clearance in this area of the chassis.

Ultimate Headers - Big Tubes For Tight Places
Ultimate Headers, headquartered in Berea, Ohio (a Cleveland suburb) has brought an entirely unique line of headers to the automotive performance market. The company is led by Jim Browning, best known as the Founder and past President of Corsa Performance.
The new headers, which Browning proudly describes as “engineered muscular elegance”, break new ground in the exhaust header market — with a focus upon joining form and function to address several key areas of concern. By using the 21st Century’s best engineering practices, combined with leading edge computer-aided design and manufacturing, and aircraft-grade materials, Browning and his team are presenting headers which take on a whole new perspective in terms of appearance, design and functionality.
At the center of the new Ultimate Header line is the engineering of nearly every aspect of the product. The materials, the construction, even the appearance reflects the engineering touch.
“When we started this program, we had the vision of a product which projected quality in just about every aspect,” says Browning. “We wanted a product that was extremely durable, but also had a sterling appearance that was highly recognizable and had functional advantages over the existing products that were in the marketplace.
“Our mission was to design and manufacture headers using state-of-the-art engineering tools such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to optimize functionality, while delivering that style we refer to as ‘muscular elegance’.”
