Ford Mustang Heavy-duty "World Class" T-5 Transmission & Upgrade Kit!
This Tremec Heavy-duty "World Class" T-5 Transmission is a great replacement for a blown, grinding, or malfunctioning Ford Mustang transmission. This 1979-1993 Fox Body T5 transmission offers several upgraded features over the factory transmission. Not only does this T5 transmission include higher performance internal parts it is also rated for more power than the factory transmission of your Mustang. The Transmission
The Tremec Heavy-duty "World Class" T-5 Transmission fits behind any 1983-1993 5.0L Mustang originally equipped with a T5. Gear ratios of 1st 2.95; 2nd 1.94; 3rd 1.34; 4th 1.00; 5th 0.63, double moly 2nd speed, 3rd speed, and countershaft cluster gears, Carbon fiber 3-4 blocker rings, and Cobra pocket bearing allow for a 300lb-ft torque capacity! Plus, it has a 7-tooth speedometer drive gear & steel input bearing retainer already installed.
The Shifter
The SVE short throw shifter is a direct bolt on to the M-7003-Z transmission. It is constructed of 6061-T6 aluminum & features built-in adjustable shift stops & a 3/8" thick shifter base. Made right here in the USA!
The Oil
Royal Purple Synchromax is a manual transmission fluid that is recommended for manual transmissions which specify an automatic transmission fluid. It increases performance and the life of your transmission while improving shifting, reducing gear noise and increasing power transfer to the wheels. It also lowers operating temperatures and provides outstanding wear protection for longer transmission life.
The Rest
Prothane polyurethane crossmember bushings and transmission mount are included to replace the torn, degraded rubber stockers. The offer reduced deflection, oil resistance, and longer life. The 50Resto lower shifter boot replaces your torn or missing boot & seals off the transmission tunnel to the outside world.
Additional Fitment Note
This is a direct replacement for 1983-1993 Ford Mustang 5.0L originally equipped with a T5 5-speed. This transmission will also bolt up to a 1979-1982 that was originally equipped with the SROD 4-speed transmission as long as a T5-specific bell housing is used.
