This Tremec Heavy-duty "World Class" T-5 Transmission upgrade kit is an excellent replacement for a blown, grinding, or malfunctioning 1979-1993 Fox Body Mustang transmission. This upgraded T5 transmission kit offers several upgraded features and components over the factory transmission. Not only does this T5 transmission feature higher-performance internals, but it is also rated for more power than your Mustang's factory transmission. This all-inclusive upgrade kit from LMR.com includes parts from the top suppliers you need to replace your busted Mustang T5.

Upgraded Components
The Transmission The Tremec Heavy-duty "World Class" T-5 Transmission features a 1st 2.95; 2nd 1.94; 3rd 1.34; 4th 1.00; 5th 0.63 gear ratios. Double moly 2nd and 3rd speeds, countershaft cluster gears, Carbon fiber 3-4 blocker rings, and Cobra pocket bearing allow for 300 lb-ft of torque capacity! A SVE short-throw shifter is a direct bolt-on to the M-7003-Z transmission, shortening the time it takes to shift. The Royal Purple Synchromax increases performance and the life of your transmission while improving shifting, reducing gear noise, and increasing power transfer to the wheels. Prothane polyurethane crossmember bushings and transmission mount are included to replace the torn, degraded rubber stockers. 5.0 Resto lower shifter boot replaces your torn or missing boot & seals off the transmission tunnel to the outside world.

Fits 1979-1993 Ford Mustang V8 Only
This is a direct replacement for 1983-1993 Ford Mustang 5.0L originally equipped with a T5 5-speed.
This transmission will also bolt up to a 1979-1982 that was originally equipped with the SROD 4-speed transmission as long as a T5-specific bell housing is used.
