Maximum Motorsports Tubular K-Member
This 1996-2004 Mustang tubular K-member from Maximum Motorsports is a great addition to any road racing, drag racing, or daily driven Mustang. This tubular k-member directly replaces your stock steel member for a lighter, stronger, and more durable suspension. Being a tubular design, you get more engine bay clearance for long tube headers, maintenance, and turbo kits. This k-member is designed specifically to fit 96-04 Mustangs with modular 4.6L, 5.4L, 5.0L Coyote Motors, and LSX motor swaps.

Requires the use of coilovers
Requires the use of caster/camber plates
MM rack bushings will be required.
MM tubular control arms will be required - This k-member will not work with stock control arms. The geometry will be incorrect.
1996-2004 Cobra/Mach 1 4.6 4V requires an oil filter relocation.

Coyote Swap Info:

The CMCV vacuum motors and canisters on a Gen 2 and Gen 3 Coyote engine may interfere with the Mustang firewall when the engine is mounted in the typical location, as dictated by standard 4.6L motor mounts. Removal of the CMCV vacuum motors and canisters is required, and CMCV deletes will need to be utilized on stock intakes. Use SVE-477191 for Gen 2 intakes or SVE-478911 for Gen 3 Coyote intakes.

1996-2004 Ford Mustangs with LSX-based engine with UPR LS Swap adapter plates or modifying 96-04 4.6L engine mounts
1994-1995 3.8L V6 with the addition of 1996-2004 3.8L engine mounts
Maximum Motorsports tubular control arm MM-MMFCA7 will offset the front wheels .75" forward. Maximum Motorsports tubular control arm MM-MMFCA10 will offset the front wheels 1.50" forward. Clearance of the bumper and inner slash shield may be necessary depending on the offset and wheel combination.
Depending on your vehicle, modification of the stock steering shaft or a low-profile steering shaft may be required.
Factory and aftermarket engine mounts may have alignment pins that can cause fitment issues. Removal of the alignment pin might be necessary for correct mating of the engine mount to the K-member.
