Maximum Motorsports Tubular K-Member

This 1996-2004 Mustang tubular K-member from Maximum Motorsports is a great addition to any road racing, drag racing, or daily driven Mustang. This tubular k-member directly replaces your stock steel member for a lighter, stronger, and more durable suspension. Being a tubular design, you get more engine bay clearance for long tube headers, maintenance, and turbo kits. This k-member is designed specifically to fit 96-04 Mustangs with modular 4.6L, 5.4L, 5.0L Coyote Motors, and LSX motor swaps.

Required Parts

Coyote Fitment Note:

  • The CMCV vacuum motors and canisters on a 2015 Gen 2 and Gen 3 Coyote engine may interfere with the Mustang firewall when the engine is mounted in the typical location, as dictated by standard 4.6L motor mounts. Removal of the CMCV vacuum motors and canisters will need to be removed and CMCV deletes utilized on stock intakes. Use MMR-477191 gen 2 intakes or MMR-478911 for gen 3 coyote intakes. 

Product Notes:

  • Maximum Motorsports tubular control arm MM-MMFCA7 will offset the front wheels .75" forward. Maximum Motorsports tubular control arm MM-MMFCA10 will offset the front wheels 1.50" forward. Clearance of the bumper and inner slash shield may be necessary depending on the offset and wheel combination. 
  • Bump steer kits may be required to correct suspension geometry. 
  • Offset control arms may require sway bar relocation to prevent the sway bar from coming in contact with the strut. 
  • Factory and aftermarket engine mounts may have alignment pins that can cause fitment issues. Removal of the alignment pin might be necessary for correct mating of engine mount to k-member.
  • Clunks, squeaks, and pops can be normal occurrences with coil-over setups
  • Depending on your vehicle, modification of the stock steering shaft or a low-profile steering shaft may be required.
  • Coil-over conversion may reduce the area between the strut and wheel. High positive offset wheels or wide wheels may have clearance issues between wheels/tires and coil-over setup.  
  • This k-member will not work with stock control arms. The geometry will be incorrect.
