This 1996-2004 Mustang tubular K-member from Maximum Motorsports is a great addition to any road racing, drag racing, or daily driven Mustang. This tubular k-member directly replaces your stock steel member for a lighter, stronger, and more durable suspension. Being a tubular design, you get more engine bay clearance for long tube headers, maintenance, and turbo kits. This k-member is designed specifically to fit 96-04 Mustangs with modular 4.6L, 5.4L, 5.0L Coyote Motors, and LSX motor swaps.
-Perfect For 5.0L Coyote Swaps!
-Improves suspension geometry.
-Moves roll center vertical location to optimum position.
-Improves weight distribution.
-Allows increase in positive caster.
-Stiff design prevents flexing.
A coil over kit, caster/camber plates with a spherical bearing (like the ones from Maximum), MM rack bushings, and tubular control arms are required for the k-member. Also, if your car is a 4V, you will need an oil filter relocation kit.
-Fits 1996-2004 Mustang GT
-96-04 Cobra requires an oil filter relocation kit
-Installation Instructions Included
Extremely pleased with the Maximum Motorsports K! Instructions are great, fit is awesome, multiple a-arm mounting locations depending on ride height to get lowered geometry correct, centered wheels in wheel wells, increased much needed caster (like 05 and up), well engineered piece. The design also allows the K-member to be perfectly centered in the car and has provisions to take measurements and ensure it can be squared better than factory which often is quite off. See picture for example of tie rod vs A-arm geometry
