Prevent damage when you bottom out your Maximum Motorsports K-member equipped 1979-2004 Mustang using this Mustang Geek skid plate. Whether it is from crappy roads, race track curbing, or during an unfortunate off-track excursion, protecting your undercarriage from damage is a must. Installing a beefy skid plate rather than the K-member cross-member catching on stuff or, worst case scenario, the oil pan getting punctured or dented, a skid plate helps the car slide more easily over obstacles. By the time you realize you need a skid plate, it’s usually too late.

Quality Construction
Mustang Geeks skid plate is designed to bolt on using the steering rack bolts and runs back the cross-member of Maximum Motorsports K-members, protecting your steering rack, oil pan, and K-member from damage. Made from 0.188-inch thick 304 stainless steel for superior durability and not having to worry about scrapped paint or rust, it is an extra benefit. The precision laser cut plate is then bent to the correct angle for the mounting point, and the rear leading edge is bent to 13 degrees so you don’t catch on stuff while going backward as well. Adds peace of mind to your Mustang while driving with this Mustang Geek stainless steel skid plate.
