5.0 Resto Mustang TRX Style Wheel & Firestone Tire Kit
Give your classic Fox Body a fresh look with this 16x7 5.0 Resto TRX Wheel & Firestone Tire Kit! The Mustang TRX wheels were one of the most popular wheels for Fox Mustangs back when they were introduced and even today. These were the top performance-oriented wheel option available at the time. However, the unique size made tire options very limited. The original TRX wheel measured 390mm in diameter and 150mm wide. This measured out to 15.35" by 5.9" and explains the limited tire options. To this day, the only tire option is the Michelin TRX tire, which can cost more than two grand for a full set. 5.0 Resto's TRX wheel is sized in 16x7" which gives you more tire options, and also fills out the wheel wells of your Fox for a period-correct look that can't be beat! Included in this kit is a set of chrome lug nuts with the correct 1.9" length, so they just barely show through the center caps, just like the OEM lug nuts. Supplied in this kit are four 16x7 TRX wheels, four 225/50/16 Firestone Indy 500 V2 tires, four TRX center caps and a set of correct lug nuts! LMR is proud to offer our 1979-1993 Mustang TRX style wheel to provide Mustang and Capri owners with an original style wheel with cheaper tire options!

New & Improved TRX Style Wheel
Our new 5.0 Resto Mustang TRX style wheel is constructed with high-quality, one-piece cast aluminum backed by an industry leading warranty. The wheel features a 16" diameter and a 7" width. This will fill out your wheel wells better but, more importantly, provide a vast improvement in tire options. No more shelling out $500+ per tire just to keep a period-correct look on your Fox. This wheel comes in an OE-style machined finish with clear coat protection. Original style, exposed lug center caps are included for a look as close to the original as possible.

Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 V2

This kit comes pre-mounted and balanced with Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 V2 tires. Featuring a large shoulder block for a race-inspired look, this tire utilizes an improved silica-enhanced rubber compound that's molded into an asymmetric tread design. The Firehawk Indy 500 V2 tire has increased both wet and dry performance, shorter stopping distances, and still provides a quiet ride and a long life. This revamped ultra-high-performance summer tire is eco-focused, emphasizing low rolling resistance for better fuel economy and reduced hydroplaning risk.

1979-1993 Mustang Front Wheel Clearance Notes

1979-93 Mustang (All):
- Steering rack limiters may be needed to eliminate rubbing issues when turning the front wheel.
- May require a front 8mm spacer to keep the grease cap from pushing out the center cap.
1979-86 Mustang (All) - Requires an 8mm front-wheel spacer OR upgrading to 1987-1993 5.0 struts, spindles & brakes.
1987-93 Mustang (2.3L) - Requires an 8mm front-wheel spacer OR upgrading to 1987-1993 5.0 struts, spindles & brakes.
1979-90 Mustang (All) - Due to smaller front wheel openings, installing wheels or tires wider than the factory may require additional clearance on front fenders such as rolling fenders and modifying splash shield.

1984-1993 (All):
- Rear quad shocks may need to be reversed or removed for proper fitment. Please check for clearance issues before driving the car.

- Installation of wheels that are wider than the factory wheels on the rear of your Mustang may require inner fender clearance and exhaust modification for proper fitment.
