Restore the classic styling of your Fox Body with 5.0 Resto's 1979-1993 Mustang Turbine wheel and Mickey Thompson tire kit! The Turbine wheel (also referred to as the "alloy" wheel option) first made its appearance on the 1987 Mustang GT wrapped in a set of Goodyear Gatorback tires. The Turbine wheel was the performance wheel option used on the GT for the first few years of the aero-nose Fox Body. Its polarizing nature had many Fox owners tossing them aside for years, but period-correct restorations have seen this wheel become a regular at car shows again. One of the Achilles heels of this wheel was the very thin coat of silver paint and clearcoat that deteriorated quickly. This left just the rough textured aluminum that captured dirt, faded, and yellowed over time. 5.0 Resto improved upon this flaw by manufacturing this wheel with a smooth painted silver finish to make for easier cleaning. Each wheel features a bright silver paint with a clear coat finish, machined Turbine spokes, and a machined outer lip that's sure to bring your Fox Body exterior back to life. This wheel kit comprises two front 15x7 turbine wheels wrapped in 235/60/15 Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/T radial tires, two rear 15x9 turbine wheels wrapped in 275/50/15 M/T ET Street S/S Tires, and a set of Ford licensed Turbine center caps included to complete your restoration. Included in this kit is a set of chrome lug nuts with the correct 1.9" length, so they just barely show through the center caps, just like the OEM lug nuts. 5.0 Resto's dedication to preserving Fox Body Mustangs made the Turbine wheel an easy choice to provide a true restoration wheel for 1979-1993 Mustang owners.

5.0 Resto carefully measured every millimeter of this wheel to provide a perfect fit on your Fox Body Mustang. From the backspacing and offset to the width and diameter, the Turbine wheel provides your Mustang with nostalgic styling and a period-correct look. 5.0 Resto's Turbine wheels are a 4x108 lug pattern, fronts are 15x7 with a +22mm offset and 4.9" backspace, while the rears are sized in 15x9 with a +18mm offset and 5.71" backspace. With the added width out back the 9" wheel allows for a deeper concave, adding extra depth to the face of the wheel accentuating the Turbine look. The tried-and-true low-pressure cast wheel comes in at 17.2 lbs front and 21 lbs rear. Each wheel features a brilliant machined finish face and lip, with smooth silver paint silver on the inside of the multiple spokes. Thus giving these Fox Body wheels their signature multiple spoke designed to look like a turbine jet engine. Turbine Center Cap Kit
Included in this kit is a set of Daniel Carpenter Reproductions 1987-1990 Mustang GT turbine wheel center caps. Designed specifically for turbine wheels, this cap is built to original equipment specifications to ensure Ford's strict branding standards are met. The dome center cap features an embossed Ford oval logo in the center of the cap, surrounded by a recessed accent ring around the lug holes. Precision-cut center cap holes have the correct fully opened holes on two sides while the other two are narrowed down with a lip for the locking lug nut on each wheel. A pre-installed snap ring makes installation quick and easy. Silver painted throughout, this center cap is the perfect restoration piece for your turbine wheels. All of these features combine to meet Ford's standards and their seal of approval for an Official Ford License.

Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/T Tire
Included in this wheel and tire kit are a set of Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/T radial tires. These M&S-rated all-season performance tires will give your Mustang a wide, low-profile look, along with the great performance, handling, and wear that your car deserves. The Sportsman S/T has a flat tread profile for both handling and long tread life. The radial construction provides a smooth ride and long mileage.

Mickey Thompson ET Street S/S Radial Tires
The Mickey Thompson ET Street S/S Radial line is specifically designed for modern performance cars. This tire features a soft compound for superior traction on the drag strip, while the radial construction allows for excellent ride control on the street. Constructed with polyester ply and steel belts for strength and durability.

Drag Radial Disclaimer

• All Drag Radial tires are designed for drag racing use. While Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial tires, Nitto NT05R, and NT555R2 meet Department of Transportation requirements for marking and performance, they are recommended for DRY PAVEMENT USE ONLY. It is not recommended that radial and non-radial tires be mixed on the same vehicle.
• Due to the composition and design of soft compound tires, ride and handling can be different than standard compound tires. This includes but not limited to tracking, vibrations, and/or a floating sensation.

Fox Spindle Wheels - Clearance Notes

• 1979-93 Mustang (All): 
  • Steering rack limiters May be needed to eliminate rubbing issues when turning the front wheel.
  • It may require a front 8MM spacer to keep the grease cap from pushing out the center cap.
  • Rear quad shocks may need to be reversed or removed for proper fitment. Please check for clearance issues before driving the car.
  • Installation of wheels that are wider than the factory wheels on the rear of your Mustang may require fender clearance and exhaust modification for proper fitment.
• 1979-86 Mustang (All) - Requires a front-wheel spacer OR upgrading to 1987-1993 5.0 struts, spindles & brakes.
• 1979-90 Mustang (All) - Due to smaller front wheel openings, installing wheels or tires wider than the factory may require additional clearance on front fenders.
• 1987-93 Mustang (2.3L) - Requires a front-wheel spacer OR upgrading to 1987-1993 5.0 struts, spindles & brakes.
