Mustang SVE 5-Lug Conversion Kit
In the absence of the Ford Racing M-2300-K Brake Kit, we assembled this comprehensive SVE Brake Kit to convert your Fox Mustang from 4-lug to 5-lug, four wheel disc - Cobra brakes! This kit is sure to transform the braking performance from your weak, 4-lug drum setup, to the Cobra spec performance on all four corners! SVE's kit is compiled with high quality components that are built to last! This is the base kit with standard rotors, hoses, pads, and bare finish calipers to save you money!
The front brakes in this kit are 1999-2004 Cobra spec. Our SVE Cobra calipers are brand new units in a bare finish so you can paint to match any color you want. These calipers do not have the Cobra text. Stock compound brake pads are included to install into your new calipers. Measuring 13" in diameter, the standard rotors in this kit will provide more surface area over your factory 4-lug rotors. Factory style, rubber brake hoses connect the calipers to the hard lines and we include the needed adapter fitting to attach the passenger side line. This kit comes with a set of newly refurbished 96-04 SN-95 Spindles equipped with new hub assemblies to mount your new Cobra brakes to. New caliper bracket to spindle bolts are included to mount everything up!
Our SVE rear Cobra calipers are re-manufactured units in a bare finish so you can paint to match any color you want. Stock compound brake pads are included to install into your calipers. Measuring 11.65" in diameter, the standard rear rotors in this kit will overhaul the factory drum brakes to modern day rear discs. Factory style rubber brake hoses connect the calipers to the hard lines & all needed attaching hardware and brackets are included. The center hose is also included for V8 8.8" Mustangs to connect the body hardline to the axle hardlines. New drum to disc brake conversion hard lines are included to plumb the new rear disc brakes!
Master Cylinder & Proportioning Valve
SVE includes the 1993 Cobra master cylinder to compensate for the rear disc brakes and larger front calipers. A Maximum Motorsports 3-port to 2-port conversion kit will get it connected to your stock brake lines. Because you have to gut your stock proportioning valve, we include our exclusive block off plug to seal the hole left behind. The Ford Performance adjustable proportioning valve will allow you to set your rear brake bias. The “Kneepoint” is adjustable from 100-1000psi.
Parking Brake Cables
Our parking brake cables are a direct replacement for the stock drum brake cables and will connect with no modification required. SVE includes two 87-92 Mustang parking cables and two 93 Mustang parking brake cables. You will only use the cables specific to your year model. E-clips to retain them to the caliper are also included.
Rear Axles & Caliper Brackets
Fox length rear axles are included to provide the proper spacing. North Racecars rear caliper brackets are included to allow for the use of the included Fox length axles. All needed attaching hardware is included to mount the brackets to the axle housing. The axles are 28-spline with an SN95 flange so they are compatible with the new disc brake rotors. 10 stock replacement wheel studs are included for the new axles.
To keep you from having to run to the parts store, we threw in 2 bottles of Royal Purple 75w90 Gear Oil, a bottle of FRPP Friction Modifier, and 2 bottles of Motorcraft PM1C brake fluid.
This kit comes with a set of refurbished 1996-2004 SN95 spindles. These spindles start life as OEM Ford cores that are cleaned, media blasted, and thoroughly inspected before re-assembly begins. The spindles are then re-assembled with brand new hub assemblies with new wheel studs, and completed with a new dust cap! We recommend the use of 1994-2004 ball joints to attach these spindles to your Fox Mustang.

Caliper pistons may need to be adjusted/compressed before installation.
- These do not include front or rear dust shields.
- This kit can also be used on all 1979-1986 Mustangs and 1987-93 2.3L Mustangs with the addition of 5.0L front struts. 1987-2004 V8 front brake hose brackets will also need to be sourced used as the 2.3L has a different bracket that is not compatible with the hoses.
- Some Mustangs may require front fender/fenderwell modifications depending on tire size and ride height, especially 1987-90 because of the smaller wheel opening. 1991-93 Mustang has a larger fender opening, but still may require modification. Modifications typically consist of trimming the fender & lower front spat for tire clearance, and/or trimming the wheel well liner.

Thought this would be the perfect upgrade for my Fox. Wrong. Does it have all of the pieces? Almost. Rear soft line fitment is horrible, does it have all the necessary bolts, close, but again, no. Called and asked customer service about it because the parts don't even come close to matching what they advertise to be in the YouTube video, was told " sir those are generic videos", well, generic is right. I wouldn't buy this kit, spend a few more dollars and piece it together. Guess this is what I get for spending g close to $13,000 with LMR in just a few months time.
I am so sorry for the poor service that we provided. I really enjoyed talking to you today and I am glad that you got the issue with the rear brake lines figured out. I do apologize that we were not the ones to get it figured out. After realizing we shipped the wrong hoses, I have refunded the cost of them to your credit card and issued you a 50.00 EGC for the inconvenience this has caused. Nice final product but some issues with lines

The kit was pretty complete but the brake lines I received we're not correct. I had to have new rear caliper brake lines sent to me because the ones provided we're incorrect. Also had to make my own hard line rear brake lines. This was because I had a 7.5 instead of an 8.8 rear end. The rear calipers we're missing the banjo bolts, so those had to be sent to me. All in all it's a great kit just needs some fine tuning to the material list.
